Backpath

K had to go to the dentist this morning so I nipped out to collect the new paper shredder for P and to look for Seville oranges (no luck!). Once she was back and we’d had a coffee we had a walk down the back path to check out if it was still blocked off and sure enough it was…with loads of digging going on just beyond the barriers…all part of the H10 road extension. It’s really annoying the locals…and sad not to be able to do the habitual walk down here and around the fields and back through Wavendon which characterised how rural this part of the city always used to be…but it won’t be much longer as the roads and housing estates will spread.
We nipped over to Waitrose and found the oranges (yay!) then I went over to see Kt who was off work not feeling very well, to give her her belated birthday present. She was feeling a bit better than yesterday and it was good to catch up and chat about Heston, her birthday trip and various friends and family. She gave me more tips about the Borneo trip and lent me her head torch to take.
Back for an advisory group zoom meeting which went ok then Duolingo, supper and watching a documentary about Mannerism on Sky….how had I never heard of that art movement before?
Need to be up and out early tomorrow to get home
