Abandoned and Forgotten

Hubby is always anxious to file our taxes as soon as we receive our tax statements. Today was my day to provide him with my data. That went surprisingly well. He finished them and the result is good. Kim asked me to pick up Brooklyn from school. On the way back to my house, I passed this old barn that’s been abandoned. There are way too many barns like this in our area. Sad. Kristen picked me up so we could shop at Costco in the next county. She has a membership and I wanted a few pre-made meals for our trip. Theirs are so good and reasonably priced. She took me to a new restaurant. See extra. Country cooking at its best. We both have lunch for tomorrow also. We did a bit more shopping; Kristen needed ingredients to make soup for her office tomorrow. She and I rarely go out together. I am glad we made the memories. We are heading home so I can get everything put away and read for a little while. Hubby has a meeting. I hope you made a special memory today. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “I wanted to capture the beauty found in abandonment, the allure of a forgotten place and the draw of unknown stories. So, I went to an old abandoned barn and it captured it perfectly”. - Ayandola Ayanleke
