A Col with Several Presents.
Please press here to see the herd of male bouquetins crossing the snow 1,000 feet below. It was definitely worth risking going all the way to the Vallais above Ovronnaz to see this magnificent sight. From this col there was another group of 7 bouquetin (ibex) on the rocks, all males again. The females are holed up in creches somewhere with their babies.
The weather was freezing, even snowing lightly, and definitely blowing hard as you can see from the cloud formations. Where is the summer in Switzerland?
