ICELAND DAY 2

enjoying my holiday too much to blip…shame on me!!! :)))

After a good breakfast we headed out to find the start of our walking tour we had booked yesterday. My poor SIS is hopeless with directions but when everyone got involved it started to get a bit heated…so having left the hotel for 10 mins we stopped for coffee :)))
We found the start after calmly looking at the map…we were literally 2 mins away!!

The tour took us to the parliament building guarded by 2 drop down barriers you get in a car park and 3 cameras!!!! No soldiers or police about. We then walked to ..
#The Pond (lake in my opinion)..people were playing football on it. The tour took us around the town to the harbour area. She was entertaining and funny. She suggested our next stop was the famous penis museum where they serve the best coffee.
#we did and even had penis waffles…oooer!!! Lots of giggling from the tourists which became quite contagious:))))))) so childish!!!
#had a lovely meal out at Curaro…very tasty, lovely service but rather pricey!!!
#Then after an horrendously windy walk to the harbour to catch our boat to see the northern lights…NOT!!! :((( still we had quite a laugh dressing up like fishermen and watching the stars…full of hope.

LIFE IS FULL OF HOPES SND DISAPPOINTMENTS BUT STILL BE GRATEFUL FOR EVERYDAY.
