Enid- nickname Lady Killmore

Just finished reading this book which I was given for Christmas. About Australian Enid Lindeman ( granddaughter of founder of Lindeman wines) and her life…….moving with the rich, and very rich and famous plus royalty. She was very tall and beautiful  and got noticed everywhere. She married four times…the first two were much older than her,  one very rich American , the next a British soldier from good family she had two children with them but they both died quite quickly after marriage of cancer and brain haemorrhage . Then another very very rich English one who had huge estate in England plus Cape Ferrat south of France.  He died of drugs and alcohol…..amazing to read about the amount of drugs they used in these circles. The last one died of a heart attack. So four husbands dead by the time she was 52! Her nickname became Lady Killmore ( she had the title Lady Kenmare form a husband) 
It was an eye opener to me to hear about the massive wealth of the circles she moved in.

Swimming and Aqua class this morning. Then we had grandson for half the day as he was a bit unwell so not at school. Played the recorder with him which was nice.

So much rain overnight and on and off all day. Very gloomy.
