At The Crown

I wish the sleet had turned to proper snow. We had cold wet rain or sleet all day.

I planned to drive to Corbridge to buy fruit and to have a walk, but the weather decided to deteriorate when I was about to set off.

The undoubted highlight of the day was meeting Liz and Nick for a meal at our local pub in the village. They run the shop on Thursday evenings and close at 7pm. There was hardly anyone in the pub. We had a good meal. Mine was steak and ale pie which came with mash and a variety of vegetables. Delicious.
