I'm happily settled into my sister's apartment in Seattle for a week, mostly here to help her out with a project but also of course to visit my mom and stepdad and to celebrate his birthday. It's nice being back so soon after Christmas. Good to have a break from work, too. This morning K. and I walked around the point on Harbor Avenue and saw the brilliant tops of the Olympic Mountains peeking above the cloud layer across the water.
