Normous wasn't hiding, he was pruning the hollybush! Once he gets started with the hedge cutter and the secateurs he's hard to stop and wanders round the garden, looking to see what he can tackle next. But this standard holly really did need a trim.

We have both been out in the garden for most of the day in beautiful sunshine. Already there is dead heading to do as we move away from the green abundance of the last few weeks. I've been assiduous in feeding the plants in pots this year and they already show a difference.
