Village Week

I was down at the Barn Hall this morning for my patchwork class and the flags were still flying and the bunting was still fluttering after the excitement of Village Day which is held in the hall and its surroundings. The whole village is bedecked with flags for the whole of Village Week every year, when there is an Open Gardens Day on the Sunday, an inter-organisation quiz on Tuesday evening, a jazz night on the Friday, a craft club coffee morning, a Country Markets coffee morning and many other events. The proceeds from all these events go towards the upkeep of the hall.
There is something very cheerful about bunting!
