European Homeless Cup 2013

Today and tomorrow the European Homeless Cup 2013 in football takes place in Munich. The venue is in the city center at Odeonsplatz, right in front of Feldherrnhalle and Theatinerkirche. The organiser says that it "is more than just a sports event. It offers homeless and addicted people the opportunity to show off their sporting talents and to build community spirit and trust. 16 teams from 12 countries will play for the victory. The focus of the fundraising event is, besides the joy of football, on the participants themselves: So because of the European Homeless Cup, social problems that would be otherwise repressed, will be pointed out in public." Anyways, the game that is on in the blip is the Croatian team from the city of Split (red/white) against a German team from Munich (green).

In other news: I finally managed to get some sleep last night after having a few cold beers yesterday evening with Laura. So my granny was right all along and beer is healthy - not that I ever doubted it...
