Kirkleatham Walled Garden
Despite the fog today we did what was necessary in terms of morning dog walks and jumped in the car for a little trip along the road.
It’s about 15 minutes from us, so good for a quick break this time of year and as the seasons develop it will - undoubtedly - be fabulous.
It only opened 2 years ago summer just gone and is a Grade II listed Victorian walled garden which had been closed for more than 30 years.
I imagine serious investment has taken place, and it includes formal gardens, a science garden, areas for activities, a glasshouse, cafe, shop and pavilion. The Kirkleatham Museum is also nearby with exhibitions and displays covering local industrial maritime and social.
Can’t wait to go back as the better weather arrives and whilst having a cuppa in the cafe, I paid for an annual garden pass for us both as it may well become our go-to place as it is open all year round, very clean and tidy and I think will be rather blippable!!
The annual pass by the way was £6 per adult instead of a day ticket at £4 - no decision to be made really.
