Gilbert White

As the forecast wasn't, for once, constant rain, I decided on a trip to Selbourne to see the snowdrops and Gilbert Whites house. Read his book during lockdown, Natural History of Selbourne from the 1700s. Interesting read through guess not a lot of it would get on Springwatch nowadays. Apparently he planted this tree and it's almost 300 yrs old, doesn't look a day over 200!
