Rainclouds over the Rheingau

I slept badly last night, and didn’t do much today. At least I managed to go for a long (>10 000 steps) vineyard walk with B, despite the occasional drizzle.

There was a carnival parade in Walluf, the village in the thumbnail of this blip. We could hear the booming music for most of our walk, even though we were about five kilometres away. Tomorrow, a big parade will take place in Mainz, just across the Rhine from us. When I was a teenager, I once took part in it, and didn‘t like it at all. The dressing up was fun, the drinking and groping wasn’t.
