Migrants

The blue sky and sunshine were unexpected (today’s forecast was for clouds and rain), but I didn’t have the time to enjoy it - working all day to meet my recently shortened deadline.

But I was delighted to see a big flock of cranes, on their migratory route from Southern France to their breeding grounds in Scandinavia. They had found a thermal uplift just above our area, which is why they were flying in circles and not in the usual „V“ formation. 

I quickly grabbed my camera, just to find out that it was out of battery. So a couple of phone pictures is all I can offer you.
