Serendipitous Double Rainbow
After a sunny morning we decided to go to Batsford to renew our memberships and seek out some snowdrops. Of course as soon as we got there the sun disappeared. We saw load of snowdrops and daffodils, but they all looked a bit crestfallen, and didn't come out well in my pics.
We decided to walk around a different way which was lucky as we got to the church late on, by which time the sky had turned quite black and it it was just starting to rain. There was some gorgeous light on the church itself though, and then a rainbow. I didn't notice at the time but there was a second rainbow too, hopefully you can see that.
We heard loads of birds too as the afternoon wore on.
According to Merlin:
Common Wood Pigeon
Song Thrush
Blue Tit
Nuthatch
Collared-Dove
Oystercatcher (really?)
Long-tailed Tit
Robin
Stock Dove
Ring-necked Pheasant
Greenfinch
Chaffinch
Coal Tit
Black Redstart (?)
Blackbird
Dunnock
A lovely afternoon, finished off with hot chocolate/tea and cake in the café.
