Little mermaids

A very sedate morning after last night’s fun and games which apparently went very well indeed especially the ‘photo booth’ which meant Grace got photos with all her friends.

For the girls of course it was play as usual and after some decoupage type craft - Eda is creating a Nature Table - they both wanted to dress up as mermaids.

Zoe, who had ventured down ahead of her host wanted a a picture of them so I took a quick snap at the same time. You can see Jude is still holding her leg up a little.

John manfully prepared a lovely roast lunch and then, after a last piece of birthday cake, we set off home.
It had started to rain but we were soon back in sunshine. The clouds were very dark and there were some amazingly bright rainbows against them.

All went well until signs on the M5 announced that junctions 6 - 8 on the M42 were closed. We followed the diversion signs, very slow in places and it probably added an hour to our journey but we are back now.

As it’s half term we shall be seeing the girls again on Tuesday when they come to visit for a few days.
