Hellebore flowers in the front garden

A few days ago I ventured out for the first time in some days, having started to feel more normal. I saw the snowdrops which I blipped but also was delighted by the spectacle of the hellebores in full flower.

I returned today with suitable clothing to absorb damp from the wet ground and grabbed a few pictures. It is very hard to photograph them from any other place or from a low vantage point but this picture shows the array of flowers they are presenting. I've added a closer view as an 'Extra' and I hope you like them as much as I do. What amazing colourful flowers to be at their best in mid-winter.
