Wet Sleddale

A nice bright morning so I drove up to the Larch Cottage nurseries at Melkinthorpe and called in at Wet Sleddale as I could see that the dam spillway was overtopping.  The water was forming lovely curtains as it tumbled down the spillway.  In the extras are a couple of views from Shap looking towards Orton.  I usually try to keep overhead wires out of my pictures but , in this case, I felt they added something as they gave scale to the image.  The final extra shows the distant M6 in heavy rain while the foreground is in bright sunshine.
