A Bible in Stone.
The tapestry had its official photograph taken by "The Press" today, I was there for a sneak preview before the man himself arrived and the official picture is probably very similar to my blip; but then there's always the possibility that it is completely different. I did try the strict documentation approach but, because it hasn't been stretched yet, that didn't work out very well and, I would have needed a more suitable lighting setup.
The tapestry has now been passed on to a higher authority (no, not Him) for blocking and stretching, much to the relief of the ladies. They were all getting very nervous, "What if something happens to it before we hand it over?" More relevant, but unspoken was, "What it it's MY fault?" Sleeping at night is now so much easier.
Roslin Chapel is often referred to as "A Bible in Stone," mostly by the tour guides I have to admit, but there is some justification, you need to pay a visit if you wish to understand why and, if your visit is on a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, you may be treated to a guided tour conducted by Mrs TD herself.
