But, then again . . . . .

MBRA Pot-Hole.

Went into Toon today to pick up some Barleycup for Mrs TD from the only shop in the Lothians that seems to stock the stuff. I really don't know what she sees in it. Cycling down Comiston Road into Morningside was scary having to cope with both the pot-holes and the traffic, I'd forgotten just how bad it is. Normally I use the trike when I go down there so the traffic gives me a wide berth while the trike has fairly fat tyres and an extra degree of stability. Riding back, I stopped to blip one of the holes; I may end up sending it to the Toon Cooncil.

The afternoon was spent transferring the rather weak colony of bees from its top bar hive into a more conventional Smith hive. I'm not sure that they'll survive the move but then I didn't expect them to see the winter out either. They were treated for the varroa mite twice during the Autumn and Winter but I do wonder if they are affected by one of the unpleasant viruses that come on the backs of the mites, there are a few around these days. I had annoyed them enough today without looking for diseases as well, but I'll check them on Thursday after they've had a chance to settle.
