Icy
Walking Django this morning was pleasant in the sunshine, until I headed up to Cornbank (top of photo) where the pavements were icy. It's been a poor winter for snow - I know it's not over yet! - but Carnethy was prettily lined out.
In work I had an exciting meeting with a colleague about PhD studentship offers, and then completed the story of how to model and solve Sudokus using optimization software. Although the application isn't serious, it's appealing and allowed me to give an insight into another advanced technique.
After lunch I was programming again, making the minimum modifications to someone else's solver so that it is properly integrated into HiGHS.
