Tiny Tuesday - A Meal Ingredient

A visit with my friend Mary this morning to see Hazel at her care home. Hazel is a friend of my late Mum and me, and a former neighbour and friend of Mary’s, and she is now in her mid-90’s. Although she has the beginnings of dementia, she is still pretty bright and remembers quite a lot so we have some good conversations with her. The carers showed us where the family room is today, and we made ourselves a hot drink and had a little slice of cake each, so that went down rather well.

To the hairdresser’s this afternoon for my usual wash and cut, and to discuss all sorts with Liz. Having spent decades travelling all the way to south-west London for my previous hairdresser, my new one is just a 5-minute walk from home which is sheer luxury. As I’m going “salt-and-pepper” like my Dad did, I no longer need to have highlights put in, so the whole thing overall is now much, much cheaper.

My Blip for Tiny Tuesday is of a little cherry tomato which was part of my chicken salad lunch - I love their taste, and could quite happily eat them one after another like sweets. Thanks to ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.
