The lap of luxury

Today will be one of those almost unendurably boring ones "lost" to travelling - a 9 hour long-haul south and east, to Brisbane, arriving in the evening. Just have to put brain in neutral (the normal mode for an Irishman some would say) and go with the flow.
Had to show this. It is the foyer of the incredible KL airport Sama Sama hotel that we stayed in last night. Not outrageously expensive, Fiona assures me, but quite astonishingly beautiful and luxurious. This is the marbled foyer - approximately the size of the pitch at Manchester United.
Our bedroom was bigger than the entire upper floor of our home - with space to spare! The bed would have accommodated a string quartet - with all their instruments - and still left room for us to stretch out. I have never stayed in such a place before - a bit different from the night I once spent on the pavement in Bilbao! Next stop Oz, here we come!
