Evening On Golden Pond

For the second evening in a row I was driven out of my normally quiet little basement apartment by noisy, running, jumping small children upstairs. I have to admit to being out of sorts over the whole thing. In an effort to stay in the good mood I had been in all day,and since I couldn't inflict bodily harm on the little devils, I hopped in the car and went down to Joe's Garden where I bought some wonderful fresh produce. Then I stopped at a dear friend's house to see how she was doing. She was just about to have dinner and asked me to join her -- well, what could I say. It was delicious, by the way.

I had a lovely visit with her and then took my camera down to the park where people were having all sorts of fun playing with dogs, talking, walking, playing frisbee and generally having a nice time. It was a beautiful evening and the sunset was gearing up to be spectacular. I found these Canada geese just lazing along in the beautiful light. It was a most enjoyable diversion and I managed to keep hold of my good mood. I ended my evening with a gelato which was clearly a plus.

By the time I got home the noisy children had been bathed and put to bed so it's quiet again. I understand they're leaving tomorrow. Ahhhhhh.
