Swans

As there was a yellow alert for rain this afternoon, we went for a walk this morning to the local park.  The swans were too busy preening to pose for a photo.  We had just come out of the immensely popular Lakeside Cafe where we had coffee and toasted teacakes :-) The lake was dug in the Depression in 1932 by unemployed men in exchange for dole money and a packet of tea at the end of the week, and tobacco and a pasty every day.
