Love Blippin’ Books LBB14
I finished LBB13 book - The Woman in the White Kimono.
A beautiful and very moving story - fiction but loosely based on true events.
At one point I thought I had read it before a few years ago but I can’t have done as it was only published in 2019. I had obviously read somewhere about a maternity ‘hospital’ in Japan. The story is a bit like The Magdalene Sisters. Ana Johns has a beautiful writing style.
So now, I can start my LBB14
This month is hosted by Livresse:
How to take part: Choose a book (or more than one of you are inspired) for the monthly prompt, share a few thoughts about it and tag it #LBB14. The tag remains active beyond the end of the month, so there is no rush and previous prompts, LBB1 to LBB13, are still there to contribute to. Any books are fine: fiction or non fiction, adult or children’s - though for this prompt, audio might be difficult.
For this prompt, choose anything that has pictures, graphics, photos, illustrations... It could be picture books, graphic novels, manga, photo books, illustrated non-fiction, a narrative with a map or anything else that you think would fit...

Now this book I have read but I’ll be really happy to read it again and it fits the bill for this month - Picture Book.
This was a gift from a good friend a couple of years ago and I love it. It is one to dip in and out of.
In other news, I forgot to say on Tuesday that my knee surgery has been postponed until 3rd April. The orthopaedic secretary phoned me to say the consultant had a bereavement in the family. Fair enough.
In a way it makes it easier for our choir show as I won’t be worried about limping and getting up and down on the stage.
Today I had another declutter day. I cleared out clothes from my wardrobe.
Then I went to my fabric cupboard in the attic. I now have 3 bin bags full of fabrics. I have loads from when I used to make the handbags and tote bags but I won’t be doing that again. I’ve kept some of my favourite ones in case I want to make another patchwork quilt or a cushion or something.
I may sell some of the good fabrics eg tweeds locally and the smaller bits can to the craft corner in Oxfam.
Now it’s bedtime and I’m very tired after running up and down 2 flights of stairs all day.
Goodnight. :-) X
