The Underside (or outside)

.......of this which I picked up in the garden a week or so ago, blown down by the wind I expect.  I used my 60mm macro to get in close and show the 'equipment' these incredible builders have used.  I'm in awe of their skills.  Measuring 9cm across.  I'm not sure what bird, perhaps a sparrow.  Much better in colour (extra) 
I preserved Doris plums and nectarines this morning, heaps of nectarines on our two trees - I'll be putting it out to neighbours and friends to see if they need any.  We love them on our cereal for breakfast but we can only eat so much, right?
