Happy Valentine’s Day

If you celebrate, personally Mr C and I don’t.

Up at 5 to take dad to the hospital. We dropped him off around 6:30am… half hour before his booking in time .  He rang around midday to say he was last on the list and finally rang us at 6:30 pm to say he went down at 3 and had just returned to the ward.  Hoping he will be discharged sometime before I head home at the weekend.

In other news, I had an online appointment with the funeral directors and we have opted for an unattended funeral. It would have only been me attending as, for obvious reasons, mum and dad wouldn’t be able to go and it’s also in Hereford.  I’ll briefly explain that mum came from a large and not very close family. Her closest sister passed away quite a few years ago and the other two sisters she was in contact occasionally remembering birthdays and Christmas .  As for her brothers, she hasn’t had contact for many, many years.
We have an appointment at the registry office tomorrow to declare the death.
