Knit, knit, knit
I tried to show the eldest Gusling (granddaughter) how to knit a simple stitch; she was four years old at the time. She said “give me that, nana, it’s easy!” She then proceeded to stab both knitting needles into a ball of wool while saying “knit knit knit”. I suppose that was easy, although it wasn’t knitting! :-)
I’ve got the needles out again to knit a little fine blanket for the soon-to-be-born baby Baggins. I’ve already sent a chunky, coloured version of this, but thought I might aim for something a tad more heirloom-y.
As soon as No1 peanut feels the authentic twinges of labour I’ll get the call and will fly off to look after the elder baby Baggins. Im hoping that the timing will be straightforward! And that I’ve time to finish this blanket….and that we know what’s authentic!
