Garry Beach

We were all up early this morning packing up and off to catch the morning ferry to Lewis and Harris.  The ferry journey went well ie the sea was very calming and we stood around taking photos as we left Ullapool and travelled past by the Summer Isles.   I had worried about feeling sick but all was well.

We arrived at Stornoway in cloudy weather and decided to head for Garry Beach. 
Its a small sandy beach with large rocks in the sea to one end.  As we walked down from the carpark we were greeted by a small flock of sheep.  Wethen spent an enjoyable few hours photographing the dunes and views of the beach along with the rocks.  I couldn’t resist trying out an ICM as well.  Time to learn a bit more about waves and sand patterns.

As we returned to our new accommodation the weather deteriorated and we had some heavy rain.  Glad to say the house is very warm and well equipped.  Hopefully the internet will get fixed soon.
