A moody Luskentyre view

We were up relatively early as the weather forecast looked promising for a visit to Luskentyre which is a bit of a drive from where we are staying.  As we headed off the sky was pretty cloudy.  We stopped to take a few shots of a waterfall and were side tracked by all the sheep that walked up to us.  They are such lovely clean looking white fluffy sheep.  We took shots of various things on our way including some derelict houses.   As we drove up into the hills a mist came down.  The mist persisted almost until we arrived at Luskentyre.  We took a few photos as we approached the area but the weather was fairly grey and muted in colour.  On arrival we walked up into the dunes with the beach below us.  Several others from our group were also here and while we took a few images of the beach the mist slowly crept in.

As the mist was lingering we decided to take a look at some of the other nearby places and managed to get a few images where the sun was beginning to break up the cloud.  We past through Seilebost and then stopped at Horgabost beach when some interesting clouds attracted our interest and the sun came out, see extra.  The tide was fairly high by now and we spent some time taking shots with the waves swirling around the rock outcrops before exploring the river estuary.  After this we quickly drove through Borve, Scarista, Northton and Leverburgh.  There was little time to stop as we realised we needed to return to the property as it was our turn to do the cooking.  It was a roast so needed a fair amount of preparation.  Glad to say it turned out well.
