The Fair Maid's House, Perth

This is the house made famous in Sir Walter Scott's novel, where Katherine Glover, his "Fair Maid" lived. People apparently ask "Did she really live here?" and have to be told kindly that she was a ficticious character! However, Sir Walter did mix fact with his fiction, as Katherine's father was a glover and the mediaeval guild The Glovers' Incorporation did really buy this house in 1475 to use as their meeting hall:-)

A busy morning in the garden, then a trip to Perth for some odds and ends and there's more to do in the garden this evening, as all these plants I bought before we went on holiday need potting up. Just about to cook the trout for our evening meal, so hope it comes out okay:-)
