Zell, Mosel.

Another day of overcast weather, but we still enjoyed a trip along the river as far as Zell, a town which dates back to Roman times.

The tower at the top right is a medieval watch tower, which commanded a view of the river in both directions -very necessary to spot the possibility of invaders.
