Cronfa Ddwr Caban-coch
Woke up to a cold but sunny dawn so we decided to head over to the Elan Valley in Powys for the morning. We stopped to look at the Caban-coch dam and then walked around the edge of the reservoir to the Nant-y-Gro dam where the Dambusters 'bouncing bomb' was tested in 1942. Climbed up and over Cnwch and returned via the ancient oaks of Cnwch woods where the trees are covered in lichens and liverworts.
