Pond Life #2

We did a torch survey of our two garden ponds last night and found 47 toads, 8 newts (including two Great Crested) and a couple of frogs. My attempts at photographing them while simultaneously holding a torch and leaning precariously over the water were less than satisfactory. This afternoon I returned, without the torch, and found that we now have lots of frog and toad spawn.
