the gate

I think this is actually the main gate to the Bathurst Estate House. (I call it a house but not in a house as we know it!).

I only noticed afterwards in the picture that there is a mini door entrance in the gate on the bottom right. I don’t know why but I found that amusing.

I cropped the picture to square from landscape, following a competition night at the camera club. The judge was very keen on focusing on the actual subject and removing distracting elements in the picture. I totally agreed with him.. and I was also really happy to get a first place for my photo in the high key competition.

A pity that it was taken before I returned to blip. It would have been uploaded for sure!
