The Trees Have Ears…

I found quite a few ‘ears’ growing on a tree in the hedgerow today….wonderful jelly ear fungus.

I loved this one on the end of a broken branch…

I used the flash, at a reduced power, to light the front of the fungus….and make it brighter compared to the background. First attempts had the fungus almost black with a very bright background.


Added an extra of some more growing where a branch joined the trunk….i was able to jam the camera in the gap to keep it steady.
