Dhoon Beach

Today's the day .......................... to go down to the sea

A lovely breezy day today, with blue sky and the perfect clouds for a watercolour painting.  

No time for one of those though, but enough to head down to the beach at Nunmill Bay just southwest of Kirkcudbright.  Other than a family of three who were walking their dog, we had it all to ourselves.  The wind was strong enough to whip up the sea into quite reasonable waves that crashed on to the shore in a frenzy of froth (see extra).

It soon blew away all the cobwebs and made us feel very good to be out and about .......................
