Caught! Being nice!

You are witnessing a rare sight! My two grandchildren were sitting together playing on MY piano. There is no shoving, pushing, fighting or crying going on. The reason being, both children forbidden to touch MY piano without an adult sitting with them were playing away without a care. Together they are quietly playing and hoping to go unnoticed. I snuck up on them with my camera but as you can see, the click of the lens has my grandson spun around to look, probably his heart pounding, wondering who was there.
Two adorable children who I love with all my heart have more or less grown up together more as siblings and less as cousins. They are therefore a great deal of 'sibling rivalry' and competition for attention. They are having more and more good times together these days, as my granddaughter has become a walking, talking toddler and not a 'baby' anymore. They still have their squabbles but they are teaming up much more and usually up to no good together.
The sight of the two of them sitting and playing the piano made my heart feel good. She was singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and he was making up his own, very hip, tune. All was well as I assured them it was okay to play if they were gentle and since I was there to watch them no rules were being broken. All of a sudden, my grandson stopped his playing and announced, "She stinks!" Nadia is 2 and not yet fully trained. I asked her if she had to use the potty and she quickly answered, "No, I did already." *sigh* I knew what that meant. Apparently, the music really MOVED her. Ha-ha.
She felt great now so she didn't want to leave the piano and stop playing but Nicholas couldn't take it anymore and was screaming "Help, help , she pooped" along with "I can't take it, I can't breathe". Before we knew it, the fun was over and he ran off and buried his head on the couch to avoid the smell of her diaper. Even as she was having her diaper changed, Nadia continued to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Short lived, maybe but seeing them getting along working together and happy.....it was worth every second!
