I don't want to go to Oz!
Well it certainly is not a boring day today. We are under a Tornado watch right now until late tonight. This is after a week of daily thunderstorms and hot, hot weather. I think I witnessed a tornado once before when my children we very young. I remember the storm was bad and I was home alone with the kids when all of a sudden I looked outside and saw my redwood picnic table airborne and flying past my window. I grabbed the kids and said 'everyone in the basement.' The four of us sat under the stairs in the basement until the worst of the storm had passed.
I had errands to run today but I did manage a workout on my exercise bike before heading out. I was not at all feeling like doing anything because it is so uncomfortable outside but the workout helped clear my head and get me moving. I do think doing any stationary exercise equipment would be impossible if it were not for music. My choice today was Jane's Addiction and that kept me both motivated and committed to at least 30 minutes of sweating.
On my way back from running my errands, I noticed this house was for sale and thought I would Blip it now before someone buys it and decides to make any changes. I always admire it when I drive past and there was a red light at the intersection so I was waiting directly in front of it. It is such a wonderful house unfortunately situated on a busy road. In 1839, when built, I bet there was not much around at all. I think I saw it listed now for about $700,000. If only it could be moved to a larger lot with more privacy, it would be perfect.
The sky is getting dark now and the wind is picking up. Should be an interesting evening. I hope I don't end up in Oz!
