176 of 365 - St Nicholas Church Kenilworth!

Welcome to day 176 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken in Kenilworth. The image is of the parish Church of St Nicholas. It is not known exactly when the original Church on the site was built. This church however was built sometime in the late 13th century. The Church has been altered over the years. The tower was added between 1320 and 1400 and the main structure of the nave dates from the same period. The Church was altered again and took it's present appearance, both inside and out, during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is known that during her stay at Kenilworth Castle in July 1575 when it was owned by Robert Dudley, that Queen Elizabeth I was a worshiper at the Church.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the newly updated camera App 645 PRO Mk II for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

A little different for editing today, as I was really happy with how the original photo turned out. First of all I used the app Handy Photo to clone away the street lamp, information sign and the Guttering from the image. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add a little brightness and sharpness to the picture, then added the Shadow II frame.
