Wallaby

Wallaby are seen as introduced pests in NZ and there are road signs asking people to report sightings, dead or alive. This one was on the side of the road beside Lake Aviemore, looked like he had recently been struck by a car. Reporting website was quick and efficient, letting us give location and upload photo.
After biking we had dinner at Kurow Hotel with photos of Richie McCaw all around, his home patch and beginnings of a huge rugby career… very kiwi
