Victorian on the left and Morris on the right

We had a lovely day out with Chloe and Graham. We got the bus to Walthamstow Wetlands for a walk and I SAW A KINGFISHER. Of course it was the one time I had no camera. The weather is SO cold, 9 degrees plus windchill.

Then we got another bus to the William Morris house, or to be accurate, the one he lived in as a teenager. There was lots of information about him, his relationship with the Pre-Raphaelites and his work.

Tonight we are going to a Bangladeshi restaurant. That should warm us up!

This exhibit shows what Morris was aiming to get away from - the Victorian style on the left - and his is on the right. I think the Victorian chair looks a lot more comfortable.
