Happy landings - Chloe and Graham
A long day. 2.5 hours on the bus to Tunis airport. Flight late taking off so half an hour circling Heathrow then 20 minutes trundling to reach the parking bay. Long queues at T4 immigration. Where’s the one Bregshit benefit we should have with a line just for UK but no let’s go with USA NZ India Japan etc.
Piccadilly line which would have taken us all the way to Turnpike Lane was out of action so we had to go for £12.80 Elizabeth Line to Farringdon where it was a bit confusing to find the level for the lines to Kings Cross one stop away. We got the working bit of Piccadilly line but couldn’t get on the train as it was full of Arsenal supporters going to watch the match against Newcastle. Eventually we arrived 3 hours after touching down - took longer than the flight! Graham had walked along to meet as and help drag my bag the 15 minutes to their house.
It was so nice to see them again - last time was when they came to us for the non-coronation party. We had a wonderful evening - Chloe cooked a delicious pasta dish and the wine flowed as well as the conversation. And they were happy to tell us Scotland beat England at the rugby. Yay. What a welcome!
