It's Called Fog
A lot of people around here like to call this stuff (ahem) "mountain mist". Don't believe it. It is FOG!! Every so often the Blue Mountains and its picturesque valleys have great dollops of the stuff unceremoniously stuffed and compressed into every nook and cranny, such that it resembles the consistency of cotton wool ... countless, suffocating cubic kilometres of it. And so it was today.
Very occasionally there's a break in proceedings, revealing (momentarily) glimpses of a magical Brigadoon style universe beyond. Here we see a fleeting vision of the Leura Forest canyon - leading to the Jamison Valley floor. Oops. Sorry. Gone again.
By the way, these are all natural SOOC colour pics, just cropped to squares.
