Happy Gazweasel

On Monday I discovered that Farnham had acquired a new shop. While this isn't such a big thing in my life, this time it certainly was. It's a baker! This means, I can shop for virtually everything food related at independent shops rather than going to the supermarket.

Apparently there were once thousands of bakers in Farnham but, gradually, one by one, they have vanished until, by the time we moved here, there was none.

I have been buying my bread (and testing their cakes...obviously) all week and I have to say, it's bloody brilliant! Their bread pudding is almost as good as my mum's and the lardy cake is frighteningly delicious. I hope they stay.
