Mono Monday: Week 527 ...

As we were leaving for our lunchtime walk I unfortunately saw a scattering of feathers on the edge of the driveway.  There is really only one reason for this ... and it's usually not good.

After our walk I gathered some up for some macro photographs.  By the coloring of the feathers I thought they might be from a Dark-eyed Junco but determined they were from a mourning dove.  Sad in any case.

In more upbeat news ... we had another follow-up appointment for Cheddar this evening for his ear infection.  They told us that the left ear is all clear and the right only has a little bit of infection left.  We are to continue the drops for another week and we go back in two weeks for another check.  Hopefully by then the infection will be all gone in both ears.
