Outside
Being outside is just rejuvenating. The day was beautiful. We had breakfast then went home for yard work. I watch the birds so much, these little chipping sparrows, along with the pine warblers, finch, juncos, blue birds and cardinals, and of course the ever present nuthatches, seem like friends. They watch us as much as we watch them.
We stacked up the fire pit and moved large sandstone from J’s mother’s yard to border a flower bed by the back door. Physical labor and accomplishing something just clears the head. It was nice to just be home. We talked to Jessica and to Josh and Logan. Jessica hasn’t decided if we are going to the beach this weekend. I doubt it. She has an appointment on the 4th to see what she needs to do about a torn meniscus in her knee and I have cataract surgery in the morning . If nothing else, j and I will plan to have lunch with her Monday.
Josh and Sarah have a tradition of pulling Logan out of school on the 4th of March and doing something fun as a family since they are so far from us. They plan to go to Wolf Creek Lodge.
Be blessed.
