Picnic in the park
We had Rhythm Time first thing which as usual Eva loved. Afterwards, instead of going to Morton's for a hot choc, we decided to go and get some bits from Tescos, get the picnic blanket out of the car, and go and have a picnic in the park next to the village hall. It was so so nice and I'm so glad we did this, I actually preferred it to sitting in Morton's, and it meant both Eva's could be free and not have to sit in their prams or on our laps. I even changed Eva's nappy there and she had some tummy time while me and Jen had a good old chin wag.
Not sure if I've mentioned this yet, but 2 of Eva's new things lately is to first do little really high pitched squeals/singing whilst putting her mouth in a really cute shape like stretching her mouth across sort of like she's blowing a flute, it really does make me laugh its so funny when she does it. The other thing she's started doing is, sometimes if she's having a moan, and I pick her up up to my shoulder, she puts her mouth onto my shoulder and does the moany noises muffled into my shoulder, like she stops moaning and is just doing it to hear the sounds she's making, again it's really funny and very cute.
Eva was absolutely spark out by the time we got back so I carried her upstairs to bed and had a coffee and a snickers while she slept for an hour.
Grandad Hopkins came round in the afternoon for a coffee and a catch up which was lovely.
Eva was fast asleep tucked up in bed by 7.10 pm tonight bless her. She's had a very busy week :-) xxx
