Dinner with friends in Termunten

Tonight I had dinner in Termunten with Joke and Hans and Marc.
At steakhouse De Kleine Munt.

Joke and I have known Hans and Marc all our lives, since our parents were best friends all their lives. So they feel as if they are family.
In 2021 my father died and in the summer 2022 their mother died, and that was the reason to stay in touch and not let the bonds we have fade away.
Their father and our mother now both are suffering from dementia, so we still have lots in common.

In normal life we don't see each other very often, despite the fact wel all live in Delfzijl, but every now and then we bump into each other.

We had a great evening catching up, and before we knew it we were the last ones that were swept out of the restaurant.
As Hans said when we stood next to our cars: See you next year, maybe sooner, but it's so good to know that you're nearby and always ready immediately when needed. And that's so true and mutual.

We'll probably be back at this restaurant in a year. The food was perfect!
